I took a late afternoon break from Internet Librarian to drive down to Big Sur. It took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there as I stopped at over a dozen overlooks to take photos and watch the big waves crashing on the rocks. Having grown up in arid west Texas, I find the Pacific Ocean is almost incomprehensible. The irony is that despite all the water over to the right, the hills to the left look just as dry as the western edge of the Edwards Plateau.
Take a look at the rest of my photos at Flickr. The best viewing experience is the slide show.
