I was surprised today to see a new feature on our EBSCO databases. When I ask for a search, the results include suggestions to narrow the results. This follows the lead of the new catalog at North Carolina State University and the Clusty search engine. I first saw such a feature in the Northern Light search engine, which unfortunately wanted us to pay for access to journal articles; it has since disappeared. The EBSCO feature helped me with a question at the reference desk today.
