The Chase by Zizou Corder

Much is revealed in The Chase, the second book in the Lion Boy trilogy by Zizou Corder. Charlie Ashanti discovers why so many children have asthma, something his parents knew all along. His mother finds a long lost relative. King Boris learns something about his security advisor. The lions learn how far Charlie will go to help them. Of course, readers learn even more, including more details about the state of the environment in a post-fossil fuel world.

Unlike the first book, just called Lion Boy, the second book has a more ending-like ending, but the author adds a postscript that Charlie better stay alert, for an even greater challenge is coming. Book three of this imaginative series is due out this September.
