The premise of the story was so horrifying, but the story was well written and suspenseful with the diabolical ways to get the kids to keep "playing" the game. What's interesting is that everyone I know who has read the second book, Catching Fire, has said it is even better. I'm waiting until my library receives the Mockingjay before starting Catching Fire. Also, I'm happy to hear that schools are assigning new books for students.
